FOMO

Legal

Terms & conditions

Last updated 2 August 2026. Applying, paying and attending an FOMO event means you accept the terms below.

The application

Applying is not buying. Every application to FOMO is read by a person and approved or declined at our discretion — the room is 240 seats, and applying does not guarantee one of them. Submitting false information on an application is grounds for the decision being reversed at any point, including after payment.

Approval and payment

A payment link is only ever generated once an application is approved, and it is single-use, tied to your name, and valid for 48 hours from approval. If it lapses unpaid, the seat is released back to the waitlist and the link stops working. Prices are shown on the tiers board and are per seat, in Indian Rupees, inclusive of any fees stated at checkout.

Your ticket

Your ticket is a signed, single-use QR code tied to a specific row and seat, sent by email and available on your payment confirmation link. It is scanned once at the door; a second attempt to use the same code will be refused. Do not post or forward your QR code — anyone holding it can use it in your place.

Getting in

Entry requires government-issued photo ID matching the name on the ticket, and confirms you meet our age policy of 18+. Doors open at 8:30 pm; last entry is 11:30 pm and is enforced. There is no re-entry once inside. Dress code (Black tie, gone wrong) is enforced at the door's discretion.

Right of admission

We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw entry from anyone, at any point, for reasons including but not limited to intoxication, aggressive behaviour, breach of these terms, or a safety concern raised by venue or event staff. This can happen without a refund.

Filming and photography

Phones are fine at the bar and in the foyer, and away once you are on the floor. We run our own photography and it is shared after the show. This is enforced by staff on the night.

Changes to the show

Line-up, running order and exact timings may change between approval and the night itself; the published date, doors and last-entry times will not change without direct notice to ticket holders. The venue address is released to ticket holders shortly before the show, not published publicly, and is not itself a term you can hold us to beyond genuinely operating a working single-screen cinema in Chennai.

Liability

FOMO and the venue are not liable for personal items lost or damaged on the night, or for indirect losses arising from a cancelled or rescheduled show, beyond the refund terms set out in our refund policy. Nothing here limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
